New projects: Sliding erection, vibration, dynamics (16.09.2005)
The set of exemplary projects to demonstrate the fields of activity was extended:
- The project "Steel constructions / Sliding erection" was added. A roof channel with the dimensions
L/B/H=100m/10m/3m was to be launched over an existing industrial hall without disturbing the current
services. The roof channel was designated for a conveyor system carrying cars. The anticipating porch was
lifted adding a prestressed truss above the channel, thus allowing a forceless sliding upon the next support
ahead. You can find the appropriate page
here.
- The project "Steel construction / Oscillation" was added. After completion a walkway bridge was found
to be oscillation susceptible. An expertise was demanded to find the cause of this oscillation susceptibility
and to get basics for later reinforcements. You can find the appropriate page
here.
- The project "Steel construction / Dynamics" was added. For the portal of a welding robot the vibration
response for the most unfavorable case of emergency stop from full speed with unfavourable movement of the
robots arms was to be calculated. Calculating the displacements of the damped vibration we got the time delays
needed to ensure a sufficient positioning accuracy for the welding robot. You can find the appropriate page
